Completed as a part of my Fundamentals of Writing for Digital Media course in the spring of 2024, this project involved analyzing an existing website and providing a new content strategy plan. Its final presentation consisted of a complete website analysis and content strategy proposal.

My in-depth website analysis consisted of evaluations of the organization’s audience, content quality, layout, social media presence, and comparison to competitors. Utilizing my understanding of user-centered design and audience needs, I provided an honest and logical perspective on where the website stands in the digital realm. The process of doing so required various stages of revising, editing, and revisiting Will County Humane Society’s website to ensure the evaluation was useful.

Utilizing the analysis as a guideline, I then created a quality, professional content strategy plan. A content strategy profile was included in the first segment of the document to recognize and identify the benefits and downsides to the website’s current condition. The section labeled “Content Fitness” applies my prior knowledge on audience research to further explain the website’s existing features.
The Content Strategy Proposal section outlines the area of the website that needs revision through brief evaluations and suggestions, demonstrating my knowledge of user-centered principles and strategic social media use.
