Created in the fall of 2023 for my Principles of Visual Communication course, this assignment involved creating a poster for a professional typography forum. By applying conventions of genre and form through the poster’s design and typography, my design adheres to the expectations of typographers while effectively capturing the event’s information.

The design process consisted of multiple drafts, each focusing on refining key elements such as typography, layout, font selection, and visual hierarchy. After gaining additional feedback from peers, the final design successfully communicated clear information about the event in a stylish manner. This project showcased my technical typography skills as well as my ability to curate content for a professional community.
